St James’ Year 11 Engineering students made a stellar debut at the Electronic Vehicle Challenge, guided by the expertise of teachers Mr Bastow and Mr Watts.
The team designed, built, and raced two electric vehicles, ‘Kitsune’ and ‘Zorro’, competing against many other schools. Their efforts paid off spectacularly, earning first place in both the Engineering and Overall Best Presented Car categories.
The awards demonstrated the team’s technical mastery and standout design and presentation.
This impressive debut sets a strong foundation for future competitions, and the team is already looking forward to raising the bar even higher next year.
