Study Abroad Program
The ASC International Study Abroad or Immersion programs are designed for a “taster” experience of school life in an ASC School. Students are able to experience life in our Language School and in one of our 14 schools across Australia for a minimum of one term (ten weeks). Classes are run as per usual and students are timetabled into the normal class schedules with all other students. This program provides a true reflection of a student’s ability to immerse into Australia so that parents can make an educated decision on moving their child to one of our longer-term Graduate Programs.
Students entering years 7-10 will study at both Language School and Mainstream schooling for a fulfilling immersion experience during their time in Australia.
Students can qualify for our Study Abroad Program with a visitor visa (under 3 months stay) and are not required to hold a student visa. Intakes into this program occur at the commencement of each term. Please see our term dates document for information.
All students joining Year 7 to Year 12 (apart from those already in English-speaking countries) will need to complete our 2-week Cultural Transition program at ASC Language School upon arrival. This program is specifically designed to help international students adapt to the new culture and learning environment in Australia. Education is a long-term process, and we want to prepare our students for future success.
Students in our Study Abroad Program will receive an ASC international polo shirt that can be worn in place of a school uniform. Students may also wear their own school uniform. Please note our Homestay program is not available to short-term immersion students.
