ASC Framework for the use of Generative AI in Schools.
Our AI Working Party continues to develop a framework for using generative AI in our schools in consultation with expert consultant, Dan Ingvarson.
We held our third collaboration session on Thursday, 12 September, to develop expectations around the use of AI for staff and students. At the session, we also progressed in our work on a guiding governance document to provide staff and students with an easily understood process and ready reckoner for identifying and categorising activities as low, medium, and high risks and uses of Gen AI.
Cyber Security Awareness Month
October is Cybersecurity awareness month, and acts as a reminder to everyone to protect themselves and their data, online.
These are a few tasks to set yourself in October:
- Review your current online services (e.g. banking, streaming services and social media), and if these services enable Multifactor Authentication, turn it on.
- Update apps and software on your devices and phones; updates fix bugs and vulnerabilities, protecting you and your data.
- Review your permissions and view settings on your social media accounts.
