250-hour Journey to Art Exhibition

250 hours of meticulous work has earned a Trinity Anglican College class of 2023 student a coveted spot at the ARTEXPRESS exhibition in New South Wales.

Mitchell Shoemark invested the equivalent of a staggering 10.5 hours per week, or 1.5 hours per day, drawing the self-portrait over six-months.

The extraordinary piece is called ‘Renaissance’ and will be shown at Ngununggula, the Southern Highlands regional art gallery, from 18 May to 30 June 2024.

ARTEXPRESS is an annual exhibition series showcasing exceptional student artworks developed for the Higher School Certificate examination in Visual Arts in NSW.
