Psalms

The Book of Psalms is important to study and appreciate – as a worship resource and as Biblical poetry which contains the expression of a wide range of human emotion and experience. The Psalms ask important questions of God, about God, humanity and the purpose of life. Psalms are used daily by Christians the world over in worship services, personal devotions and prayer. Students will encounter them regularly in school and parish worship services. Psalms can also give a method of expression to the full range of human emotions that students will encounter.
